What a fun ski lodge! This house had everything a 10br house needs and more. We were a group of 20 with 10 kids 6 and under and we had a blast. Tons of living space - there's a huge kitchen with 2 of everything!

Perfect for our large family
Date of Stay: Aug 30, 2018
The house was clean, well furnished, we were all able to have dinner together at large table in dinning room. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for a large group 2 stoves, 2 refrigerators, plenty of pots and pans. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all updated, clean and comfortable. The hot tub was crystal clear and clean, the children loved the house with the play rooms and separate TV room, the adults enjoyed playing pool. The family campfire in the back yard was a highlight. We are return visitors and find the owner very easy to deal with and responsive to any requests.

Perfect house for families with kids
Date of Stay: Sep 17, 2009
My family and friends with kids (24 people) recently spent a relaxing weekend in this house. This house has a lot of indoor games (Foosball, free throw duel basketball, board games) and outdoor (rope tree swing and regular swings). Kids loved them. The house and the deck are huge and is great for a big families. One thing I have to compliment on is the kitchen. Like the house it is also huge and it also comes with two of everything (stoves, frig, microwave, etc.). It really helped when you are cooking for twenty people =). Would recommend to my friends.

We fell instantly in love with this house. It is spotless and comfortable and it is very functional which you need when you have a large crowd. There were 17 of us ranging from 89 to 13 years old. There were plenty of bathrooms, lots of rooms for sleeping options, I loved the sheets, the kitchen had 2 stoves and 2 microwaves, lots of plates and glassware and utensils. It has two very comfortable sitting areas, one downstairs...perfect for the kids...and the other in the main living/dining/kitchen area. It had a fun basketball game and Foosball table...it was awesome. The location was also perfect for North Conway and Bethel. We would absolutely rent this place again. Steve was awesome to work with.

This is the 2nd time that our group has stayed at the Beast. The 1st was back in 2009 & the house fit like a glove so we to come back. All of the extra area in the Beast made it easy for you to be away from the main group or have everyone in the same place for refreshment or a meal. As for the meal the large kitchen area & 2 of almost everything cut the time for the preparation of the meals. We will be back again.

I went with a group of 16 friends and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The pictures don't do the place justice... it's massive! We all had so much fun exploring and choosing our rooms when we arrived. The house is the perfect setup for a large group - cooking meals together was very convenient with the two stoves. It did take a phone call to Steve to check on our deposit refund, but other than that the whole process was smooth and Steve was very helpful! We're hoping to go again this year!

Fortunately we stayed only 2 nights, we now realized at least we need to stay 4 days to enjoy more. Will recommend ours friends who has plan to visit NH. The best part is Beast is located in prime location of White mountain area from there we can reach most of the attractions very easily. Five stars to the Beast.

They say you can't repeat a great time...I say go to 'The Beast"!. Two years ago we spent Memorial Day Weekend with a mix of family & friends. We had such a great time, I rallied my family together to commit and The Beast did not disappoint! The oldest of our group is (Papa) 71 and the youngest was only 2. In today's time it is so hard to get a large family together at one time and all in one place, so happy my family planned on being together. Papa enjoyed his 5 kids, spouses and ALL 12 grandchildren from 25 to 2! The Beast made it possible for all of us to be together and enjoy potluck dinners, games, and most of all each other. Family decision made to hopefully get to The Beast every Memorial Day weekend! Thanks Steve...looking forward to our next trip up!

This place was amazing to stay at. The kitchen and dinning room have plenty of room to have sit down dinners with everyone. There was 24 people in my group and your were not bumping into each other. The yard in the back is great for kids to go outback and play. I look forward to staying here again.

Great for big groups or families!
Date of Stay: Oct 17, 2012
There were 15 of us woman that stayed at The Beast for 3 days in October 2012 and we couldn't believe how much room there was! You could almost literally get lost in this house with all of the different wings. What made it great was that people could be sleeping in one wing and would never hear the people in the main living area. The main area was a huge space with a great kitchen and had everything you needed (except the food). The extra stove and refrigerator came in very handy with our size group. On the nicer days we were able to hang out on the huge deck and enjoy the fresh air. This house would be great for a few families to stay for a holiday, skiing, shopping or just to get together. And don't forget the friends that could also stay here as a way to "catch up" on everything , like we did. Perfect, perfect, perfect is all I can say.

What a perfect house for all of us. We had 4 families with kids ranging from 4-9 years old, there for the purpose of skiing. One day we got rained out. It didn't matter because the house provided all the entertainment necessary - hide n' seek, dance party in the loft "no adults allowed" per the signs created by the kids, fuse ball, basketball, separate TV room and more. And the kitchen was fully loaded, having two of every appliance - that was super helpful/convenient - especially because we had one with food allergies and another with a restricted diet and had to keep things separated. And we all loved - believe it or not - the super sized garbage! Everything was in good order and nicely organized when we arrived. We hope to make this an annual tradition. Thank you Steve for sharing your wonderful house!

Fabulous house - rooms everywhere. The kids loved it. Very, very clean and the kitchen was overflowing with anything we needed. Two of everything - refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, stoves. Someone really thought this place out. The property is beautiful and it is close to town. We will definitely be back. The owner was extremely helpful to work with.

Fantastic group getaway!

For the second year in a row, our extended family (8 adults, 6 kids) went to the Beast for a long-weekend family reunion. It's perfect: it has a huge dining room table, big, well-stocked galley kitchen, plenty of room to play and lounge, tons of games, lots of bedrooms, beds, and bathrooms, and a deck that served us well on a sunny March afternoon. The kids spent hours shooting hoops in the mini-basketball game. And the location's great. You can't find a better combination of size, accommodations, and affordability. We'll be back!
